Southbank Tennis Club is launching a Crowdfunder to resurface our worn out courts. Whether you play here, live nearby, or simply value community sport, your support will make a real difference. Find out below how you can help.
Southbank Tennis Club has been part of the local community for over 100 years. Our courts have supported generations of players — from children picking up a racket for the first time to seniors who’ve played here for decades. But after many years of use, the courts are now reaching the end of their life and urgently need resurfacing.
The full project will cost just over £95,000. The club has carefully built up reserves, but we still need to raise £20,000–£30,000 to complete the work and secure the future of tennis at Southbank.
This is a big challenge for a small, volunteer run club — but it’s achievable. Similar clubs have successfully raised comparable amounts through Crowdfunding, especially when supported by a match funding scheme. We are applying to launch a Crowdfunder backed by The National Lottery, which could double the value of every donation if we hit our target.
