Founded in 1896, Southbank Lawn Tennis Club is a family friendly club that offers competitive tennis, great social events and an environment conducive to having fun and getting active, whatever your age or ability.

Originally based on land off Scarisbrick New Road, the club moved to its current location at The Rookery Sports Ground, Southport, in 2006. Recent development work means that Southbank now boasts five artificial grass courts, two of which are floodlit, and a newly renovated clubhouse.

For those interested in competitive tennis, we have four teams in the Southport and District League and also play friendly fixtures throughout the season. The club also organises a number of tournaments for members throughout the year, covering both singles and doubles play.
